or Death is simply waiting for her to die, which might be soon.
So yes, Death isn’t her friend now, but will be her friend after she’s dead.
Given rule#1, life cannot be taken prematurely, thus Death has to wait, patiently, knowing fully that she will be a friend.
Anyway, all living things will die eventually, so…
I think that death is just breaking the rules. In a previous comic he saved Mary’s life and he is also friends with her. I have a theory that later on in the comic he is going to get extremely depressed and in order to remove his status of being “Death” he is going to take Mary’s life prematurely and cease to exist
Waaaiit a minute. Didn’t he save her by catching her when she launched off the wagon? Or would that have simply been ‘serious injury’ that he prevented?

God damn, man.
For some reason the “next” link or the link in the image itself on the previous comic are not working.
This strikes me as… ominous.
THIS MEANS MARY’S DEAD

I just interpreted this comic as saying those rules didn’t matter, and/or referencing something with which I’m unfamiliar.

What about organ donation – death saving lives.
