Oooooo I can see ramifications from that. He is there to bring those who have past to the other side, not bring them back. He’s already breaking the rules by befriending a mortal….

Ah! Like she said, he only worries about humans, not animals, so maybe the rules do not apply to animals.

Perhaps there is Death of Animals somewhere there…
        Perhaps even Death of Rats.

This webcomic has slowly become a Terry Pratchett fanclub.

I am only one of millions who have forty-plus Discworld novels on their bookshelves; the _entire world_ is a Terry Pratchett fanclub!

I dunno about that. Most of the internet, maybe.

Yet, I wonder if Death really resurrected the bird…

Maybe he actually lead it to afterlife. Maybe it was the spirit of the bird that flew away

Or maybe the bird wasn’t even dead just knocked out. so death healed it

Or Death created an animal version of himself, to greet the animals on the other side.

I like your idea, it’s sweet and makes the most sense.

And that’s how the raven became a bird of death…

Methinks I’ll borrow that tidbit of mythology for my own nefarious writings. Much obliged!

I think he made this bird to greet animals when they dies

This is my favourite one. The others are great too but I love this one!
