A Gift
A little backstory on this comic:
Recently, I came across a standalone comic that featured both Life and Death. It depicted them simply, but beautifully. See for yourself here:

The message within was thought provoking in many ways and it lingered around in my mind for some time. It reminded me of some my own personal takes on Life and Death and, as a result, I really wanted to create a strip inspired by this particular comic.

I like it. But personally, I believe that Death then returns them in a different form. Each giving gifts to the other in an infinite cycle.
I’m with you on that too. Death, in his own way, reciprocates the gift by guiding them through the void and into the pathway to something new.
Rather like how water changes state by evaporation, then changes back by condensation and comes back to earth as rain.
I actually see Death and Life as siblings. “Fratres sunt Mors et Vita.”
