She needs a magicians “magic” box to show a live cat every other time (at random) and a stuffed cat (a disclaimer sign stating no animals were hurt in this experiment) the other half. A few quotes on the board from the heroes of Quantum Physics and the project is approved.
MaryDeath is sooo fine! Found you just this morning by an ad seen in explainxkcd.com, and read the entire archive (at the expense of my employers in lost effort in the workplace Wish I’d thought of this science fair project!
Once at an office job I spent so much time on TV Tropes without realizing it my co-worker leaned over the cubicle wall and said, “Ok, usually when people do coding they make a lot of little keystrokes but you’ve been dead silent all afternoon. What are you even DOING?!”
Spent the entire next day panicking that I’d be pulled into the bosses office for a Talk… XD
The biggest problem I can see with her experiment is that she has not procured a talking cat. One of the points of Shroedinger’s Cat is that you have to be able to interview it after the experiment.
Science Fair was fun until fourth grade, about age 10, I made my own electromagnet and only got a participation prize.. In second grade, I did really well only losing 1st place to a friend that made her own charcoal filter and demonstrated how it works. I made a volcano cross-section and showed all parts of it including the magma chamber and the Earth’s mantel.
And the cheezy baking soda & vinegar “volcano” is OK? Where’s the real magma, at thousands of degrees?

haha! I’ve accidentally found myself getting paid to read comics at work too.

lets say you put a box in a box then close it. is it a box in the box or is it something else?
Schrödinger’s Random Objects Experiment?
That’d be the experiment by Erwin’s brother Eric.
Anybody ever figure out what Schrodinger had against cats?
